Frequently asked questions by job seekers
Q: What is the process? A: We will first interview you to assess your suitability for the role and make sure the job opening aligns with what you are after. We are not here to push you or strong-arm you into taking one of your jobs. You’re in charge
Q: Can I still apply even if there isn’t a suitable job listed?
A: Yes! Please send your CV to keep on file, and we will let you know as soon as a suitable role becomes available. We can also chat with our clients, discuss your skillset, and see if a future opportunity may present itself.
Q: Do you assist with Immigration for candidates living abroad?
A: While we offer a boutique International placement service, we do not assist job seekers abroad with NZ-based positions unless they have valid work visas/are legally permitted to work in New Zealand. We do not offer an immigration service.
Q: Can I say no?
A: Yes. If the role in not suitable, you can always withdraw your application at any stage.
Q: Do I have to work with you exclusively?
A: We prefer you do, but we value transparency above all else. If you are working with other recruiters or companies directly, let us know, so you do not double up on the work you have already done.
Q: How long should a resume be?
A: It depends. Sometimes it makes sense for your resume to go over two pages, like when you have an extensive work history. However, studies show that hiring professionals are twice as likely to “prefer” two-page resumes.
